NEW BUILD LOcKer BUILDING
Assix were appointed as Principal Contractor following a competitive tender process to complete the construction of a new circa 300m2 locker building on the grounds of Ripley Police Station. Works commenced in February 2021 and were completed in August 2021 as Assix managed to successfully deliver the project despite challenges related to Covid-19 and supply chain shortages. Working with the project team Assix were central to the design development process ensuring key input into buildability and identifying conflicting design information before works commenced. Assix also worked successfully on a live operational site including refurbishment works to existing internal areas while minimising disruption.
The project comprises the following key aspects:
Decommissioning of existing temporary locker buildings and removal from site.
Excavation and casting of new RC foundations.
Below ground drainage works including localised tree protection.
Beam & Block Pre-Cast Floor with Gas Membrane and Screed.
Masonry including internal clockwork and facing brickwork matched to existing buildings incorporating feature band stonework.
Cladding & Roofing Panels and rainwater drainage.
Aluminium Windows & Doors.
Mechanical & Electrical Services including BMS and Security Access Control.
Internal Partitions & Suspended Ceilings.
New openings formed into existing building and the creation of new access corridor.
External Canopy Walkway
Internal joinery including Cubicles, Benching & IPS.
Decorations and final clean.
