CLIENT LIASON

DESIGN DEVELOPMENT & CO-ORDINATION

  • Rationalisation of London Underground Ltd (LUL) design brief and translation into workable solutions for acoustic, dust, fire and physical protection in rail workshop environment.

  • Liaising and managing specialist consultants required to develop temp works design, reduce risk, and meet project specific performance parameters.

  • Working with the subcontractor and supply chain to gain specialist input into temp works design, ensuring the best value solutions were incorporated into the tender solution .

COST PLANNING, PROGRAMMING & PROCUREMENT

  • Assix worked with the subcontractor and client team to develop a project cost plan which was reflective of phased temp works installation and removal requirements.

  • Key Supplier quotations were sought and provided to support the tender cost plan and provide current market value in support of subcontractor resource and plant costs.

  • Development and update of the project programme for pre-construction and construction phases.

  • Procurement & project management services for subcontractor . Our role included drafting of Trade Contract documents, interim valuations, change controls and certifying completion of the works.

PROJECT & CONTRACTS MANAGEMENT

  • LUL Client Team engagement and liaison throughout

  • Facilitating subcontractor resource induction and training specific to project rail environment

  • Production of all subcontractor project/site specific H&S documentation including task briefings, risk assessments, method statements and lifting plans.

  • Site visits to monitor progress, inspect quality of installations and review working methods

  • Arranging pull-out and torque testing of fixings to meet temp works design standards.

  • Co-ordinating design changes for update of temp works drawings and associated calculations to meet site conditions.

  • Cost change control, preparation of monthly applications and final account submission

  • Final project sign-off and inspection services to present compliant installations to TFL.
