Dan is a Senior Quantity Surveyor with 13 years experience working for both contractors and client side cost consultants. His experience cover multiple sectors including Student Accommodation, Education, Retail and Industrial/Warehouse projects as well acting as a managing QS within a £30m+ contractor for several years.

STUDENT ACCOMMODATION
Dan’s experience includes a number of Student Accommodation projects incorporating larger new builds and fast track refurbishments. Including a £21m new build modular development for Unite Students in central London. £1m annual framework for refurbishment of up to 400 bed properties within summer vacancy.
EDUCATION
Working as estimator and QS on a number of higher education projects covering refurbishments of teaching spaces, maintenance works and specialist catering installations. Projects have included University of Sheffield, Sheffield Hallam University and University of Warwick.
COMMERCIAL & LEISURE
Dan began his career involved with several mixed use developments in Yorkshire. Including a £20m office and hotel project in central Sheffield incorporating a 14 story modular hotel, high specification office space and basement car park.
RETAIL
Having several years experience in fast track retail projects from multi-location roll outs to £3m industrial unit refurbishments. Including completion of £1.5m refurbishment at the head office of major retailer.
INDUSTRIAL
£10m new build warehouse project in Doncaster including procurement, contract administration and client liaison under D&B contract.
HEALTHCARE
£9m new ward block development acting as client’s cost consultant under NHS P21+ framework. Including contract administration for maximum cost/cost +, change controls and valuations.
